Soso Soberekon tied the knot in a lavish ceremony held in Warri, Delta State, on Saturday, July 25, with several celebrities from the entertainment industry in attendance. Davido's absence, however, sparked conversations online.
Reacting in a video shared on social media, Deeone expressed disappointment that Davido neither attended the wedding nor publicly congratulated the groom.
He claimed Soso played a significant role in Davido's early career and deserved more support from the singer.
"With all the things Soso Soberekon has done for Davido, Davido was supposed to arrange chairs for that wedding. You did not attend the wedding, none of your boys represented you, none of your family represented you. You couldn't even tweet, 'Happy married life, Soso.'"
Deeone further alleged that Davido dislikes seeing people become more successful than him.
"He wants you to do well, but not more than him. That is the kind of person Davido is."
The comedian also claimed that Soberekon's wedding surpassed Davido's own star-studded ceremony in terms of luxury and spending.
"They spent more money on that wedding than Davido's wedding. Davido's wedding was like a bachelor's party compared to Soso's wedding. Private jets were everywhere."
He went on to describe Soberekon as one of Africa's most influential entertainment figures, insisting that many successful careers have been built through his behind-the-scenes efforts.
Despite his criticism, Deeone congratulated the newlyweds and wished them a happy married life, while urging Davido to publicly celebrate his longtime associate.
The video has since generated mixed reactions online, with some agreeing with Deeone's comments, while others accused him of interfering in private relationships and making unverified assumptions about Davido's absence.
